DevOps Engineer

My Client in Merseyside is looking for a Lead Platform/Dev Ops Engineer for an initial 3-month contract (with strong possibility of extensions).

The role will be 80/20 hands on/hands off split with leadership/mentoring responsibilities to a small team of Junior Platform Engineers. The client will be looking for someone who is able to perform the following:

• Effective in providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Collaborative mindset, with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
• Ability to drive best practices in platform engineering and influence technical decisions.

. They are looking for someone with the following technical experience (you should be able to display that you have had strong commercial experience in these areas):

• Azure
• App services
• Front Door
• Logic Apps
• ServiceBus
• SQL Server
• Certs
• DNS
• IAC - We use Bicep
• Azure Devops YAML Pipelines / CICD
• Monitoring / Logging / Alerts etc

The role will be predominantly remote with occasional “needs must” site visits (this may average out at circa 1 x a month)

The role is outside IR35 with a rate of £450 a day.
