🚀 MIS Implementation Lead (Contract)

💰 £400–£450 per day | Outside IR35

📍 Lancashire | 5 days onsite initially → 3 days onsite / 2 remote

📅 9-month contract

We’re working with a well-established, specialist manufacturing business embarking on a critical systems transformation, and they’re looking for a hands-on MIS Implementation Lead to take full ownership of delivery.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll sit at the heart of the business, leading the implementation of a new Management Information System and acting as the key bridge between operational teams and the software vendor

🔧 The Role

This is not a coordination-only position — you’ll be embedded within the organisation, translating real-world operational processes into system solutions and driving the project end-to-end.

You’ll take ownership from requirements gathering through to implementation, ensuring the system works in practice and delivers tangible business value.

💡 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full MIS implementation from the client side

• Act as the primary interface between the business and the software vendor

• Gather, challenge and translate business requirements into system solutions

• Map and document existing operational processes

• Create and manage the project plan and delivery roadmap

• Lead data migration activities and ensure data integrity

• Own and drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders / board

• Identify and manage risks, gaps and dependencies across the programme

🧠 What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience delivering end-to-end MIS, ERP or similar system implementations

• Strong blend of business analysis and project delivery experience

• Experience working in SME or operationally complex environments

• Ability to work hands-on with processes, data and systems

• Experience managing third-party vendors and holding them to account

• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making pragmatic decisions

• Experience within manufacturing, print or production environments

• Prior experience implementing MIS platforms
