An innovative e-commerce business is seeking a Senior Systems Developer to join its fast-moving, cloud-first technology team. This role is perfect for a developer who thrives on solving complex integration challenges and building scalable systems that connect e-commerce platforms with business-critical functions β€” including Warehouse, Finance, and Inventory systems.

You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering culture that values pace, experimentation, and continuous improvement β€” working on cloud-native solutions that leverage modern architecture, containerisation, and emerging AI-driven development practices.

πŸ”§ Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between e-commerce platforms and ERP/WMS/Finance systems.
  • Develop cloud-native, containerised backend services using modern frameworks and design patterns.
  • Implement middleware and APIs to streamline communication between distributed systems.
  • Write clean, performant code in C# and you will also get exposure to working with Golang, PHP, Python, and JavaScript .
  • Develop and consume secure, scalable REST APIs .
  • Build queue-based, event-driven processes for high-volume data workflows.
  • Collaborate across DevOps, Infrastructure, and Product teams.
  • Monitor and optimise system performance using modern observability tools.
  • Explore practical applications of AI-driven development and GPT-based engineering workflows .

πŸ’‘ Tech Stack & Skills

  • Core: ASP.NET Core (C#) or Golang - would be really nice to have if you had any ofPHP, Python, JavaScript
  • Databases: MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL
  • E-Commerce: Magento or similar open-source platforms
  • Architecture: Microservices, SOA, Hexagonal, Modular Monolith
  • Infrastructure: Docker, AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP
  • Eventing & Queues: Message-based architecture for async workflows
  • Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, New Relic, Datadog

Bonus points for:

  • VB.NET or Kubernetes exposure
  • Solid grounding in software architecture patterns (DDD, Clean Code, 12-Factor App)
