Connectivity Platform Architect - CPE

We are looking for an experienced Connectivity CPE Architect to lead the technical work stream for a next-generation Wi-Fi gateway and home connectivity programme.

Kings Road, UK | Hybrid - 2 days/week - Contract until June 2027 - Up to £830/day via Umbrella - 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Define CPE architecture, technical specifications and requirements.
• Lead technical RFI/RFP and supplier evaluation activities.
• Assess CPE OEM and silicon vendor proposals.
• Lead supplier workshops and technical PoCs.
• Develop technical scoring, compliance matrices and recommendations.
• Work closely with Product, Procurement, Engineering and Technology leadership.

Essential Experience

• Strong recent consumer/residential CPE experience.
• Broadband gateways, home Routers, mesh/Wi-Fi devices.
• Strong Wi-Fi 6/7 knowledge; Wi-Fi 8 desirable.
• Experience with CPE OEMs/silicon vendors.
• RFI/RFP and supplier selection experience.
• Knowledge of RDK-B, OpenWRT, DOCSIS, XGS-PON or similar technologies.

Important: Generic Network, Cloud or Infrastructure Architects without recent consumer CPE experience will not be suitable.
