Security Architect / Cloud Security Architect
East Midlands, England | Hybrid – 3 days onsite | No Sponsorship
We are looking for a hands-on Security Architect / Cloud Security Architect to support complex security programmes across government, defence, public sector, and enterprise environments.
You’ll focus on secure design and assurance across cloud, infrastructure, application, and data platforms, covering threat modelling, risk assessment, and embedding security early in delivery.
Core experience
- Security background: 5+ years in cyber security, ideally as a Security Architect, Cloud Security Architect, or Senior Security Engineer.
- Cloud security: Strong experience designing or assuring secure cloud environments.
- Technical coverage: Exposure across cloud, infrastructure, application, data, and enterprise security.
- Architecture assurance: Experience with threat modelling, risk assessment, security design reviews, and assurance activities.
- Security knowledge: good understanding of attack vectors, vulnerabilities, exploits, and practical mitigation approaches.
- Stakeholder engagement: Able to explain technical risk clearly to senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.
Additional value
Experience in government, defence, public sector, or regulated environments would be useful, along with knowledge of NCSC, government, or enterprise security frameworks.
Application security, network security, CISSP, CISM, or a relevant Cyber Security / IT degree would also be beneficial.
