Data Architect

Ready to take the lead on some of the most exciting data platform work happening in the UK right now? We’re looking for a Senior/Lead Data Architect who knows their way around modern, ontology‐driven data platforms (Foundry experience ideal) and wants real influence over how large‐scale, high‐impact data ecosystems are designed.

This is a role where your architectural decisions genuinely shape how organisations use data, from real‐time operations to advanced analytics and everything in between.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning end‐to‐end data architecture across ingestion, pipelines, modelling, and governance
• Designing and evolving enterprise‐level ontologies / semantic layers
• Building scalable, well‐structured data pipelines and data products
• Working with a wide range of data types, structured, unstructured, streaming, IoT
• Embedding strong security, lineage, and access controls
• Partnering with engineers, analysts, and senior stakeholders to drive platform adoption
• Supporting cloud‐based deployments, ideally AWS

What we’re looking for

• Strong hands‐on experience with Foundry or similar modern data platforms
• Background in enterprise data modelling or semantic architecture
• Experience in regulated or high‐governance environments
• Confident communicator who can influence both technical and non‐technical teams

Nice to have

• Foundry‐related certifications
• AWS Solutions Architect
• TOGAF or similar EA frameworks
• Knowledge of interoperability standards (FHIR/HL7/SNOMED)

This role does require monthly travel to the office in Leeds
