Full Stack Engineer

Who's looking for an award-winning fintech organisation with support, collaboration and DEI at it's heart?

I'm supporting a business that's on a huge growth journey to expand their cross-functional engineering squads and bring in a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer.

If you're someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating and working in a supportive environment where there's the trust for you to crack on, then this could be the one for you!

You'll be designing, building and supporting scalable, high-performing distributed applications across their web, mobile and business platforms.

Tech Stack

  • Backend: Java, Spring Boot (Spring Cloud, Spring Data, JVM ecosystem)
  • Frontend: React
  • Cloud: AWS

Though it's full-stack it leans more towards backend with a key factor being your willingness to develop further across the frontend side of things.

Other technical skills

  • Experience with microservices
  • CI/CD, DevOps practices & containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Some exposure to DDD, TDD orrrrrr a passion for clean, testable code

With this, you absolutely don't need to be the most technical person in the room! What matters is solid fundamentals, curiosity and the ability to explain your approach.

Why join?

  • A genuinely collaborative, non-hierarchical culture
  • Visible & approachable leadership that trust you to get on with your work
  • A mix of projects including: web, apps, platform improvements, security, maintenance and UX-led enhancement, amongst others

What You'll Do

  • Build, maintain and improve cloud-based applications
  • Participate in the design and architecture of scalable, event-driven and microservice-based systems
  • You'll be involved with the whole software lifecycle, including testing
  • Have the opportunity to contribute to establishing engineering best practices and patterns
  • Collaborate the leadership team on major technical decisions
  • Work towards improving efficiency, processes and tooling
  • Support the cross functional team, getting involved with mentoring and technical guidance

Who they're looking for

  • Someone who's a strong communicator and able to articulate your thought process
  • Comfortable in an environment where you work autonomously
  • Curious, proactive and eager to learn
  • An individual that would want to get involved in their internal communities/ events and knowledge-sharing
