Location: Glasgow (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite weekly)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in OpenShift, container orchestration, and cloud-native engineering. The role involves building and managing scalable AWS infrastructure, enabling seamless CI/CD automation, and supporting modern application delivery in a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable AWS infrastructure following cloud best practices.
• Deploy and manage OpenShift clusters, ensuring efficient container orchestration and application hosting.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Manage core AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, Lambda, MSK, and RDS.
• Implement containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Required Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, containers, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure automation (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid knowledge of DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Bitbucket).
• Expertise in Linux systems, cloud networking, and security best practices.
• Experience supporting Java-based applications, APIs, and microservices in cloud environments.
