GenAI Productivity & Observability Engineer
Shape the Future of AI-Assisted Software Engineering
Our client, a global fintech leader, is scaling Generative AI across a 20,000+ engineer organization and redefining modern Developer Experience.
They are seeking a GenAI Productivity & Observability Engineer to measure, evaluate, and optimise the real-world impact of AI coding assistants including GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor across enterprise engineering workflows.
This is a highly visible role focused on engineering telemetry, developer productivity, experimentation, and AI effectiveness - not traditional customer analytics or generic data science.
What You'll Do
- Build frameworks to measure the impact of GenAI coding assistants across engineering teams
- Analyse telemetry from IDEs, Git repositories, CI/CD systems, and developer tooling
- Apply DORA and SPACE metrics to evaluate engineering effectiveness and developer experience
- Design experiments and A/B tests to identify productivity drivers and workflow bottlenecks
- Create dashboards and executive insights that shape CTO-level decision making
- Partner with Platform Engineering and DevEx teams to operationalize findings into engineering best practices
What You Bring
- Strong experience in analytics, experimentation, observability, or engineering intelligence
- Python and SQL skills with experience handling large-scale telemetry datasets
- Deep understanding of SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering metrics
- Hands-on experience with DORA metrics and/or the SPACE framework
- Familiarity with GenAI developer tooling such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude
- Ability to distinguish AI-generated activity from measurable engineering value
Apply now to leverage the world's largest Generative AI engineering dataset and explicitly define the next frontier of developer productivity.
