Head of Platform & DevOps (AWS) - Mission-Critical Systems

We're partnering with a company delivering high-reliability applications into emergency services and other live operational environments, and they’re hiring a Head of Platform & DevOps.

This role is ideal for someone with deep AWS expertise who has operated in critical, high-availability environments - where uptime, resilience, and performance are non-negotiable.

You’ll own and scale a production AWS platform, enabling engineering teams to deliver robust, highly available systems that support real-world operations.

Key focus areas:

• Owning and evolving a large-scale AWS environment (architecture, security, cost, scalability)
• Leading a migration to modern DevOps tooling
• Driving observability, reliability, and platform maturity
• Building and leading a high-performing DevOps team

Tech: AWS (core), Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, GitHub Actions, Prometheus/Grafana

We’re particularly keen to speak with people who’ve worked in AWS-driven, mission-critical environments (emergency services, defence, healthcare, etc.).
