Lead Front-End Developer (TypeScript, React) - AI/ML Platform (Sheffield)
We’re looking for a Lead Front-End Developer to shape and scale modern web applications for a fast-growing AI/ML platform based in Sheffield. You’ll play a key role in building intelligent, user-focused digital products, working closely with Engineering, Product, UX and Data teams to deliver high-quality, market-ready solutions.
The Role
- Set the technical direction for web application development
- Architect, build and maintain scalable applications using modern frameworks
- Champion best practices, code quality and continuous improvement
- Collaborate across teams to rapidly design and launch AI-driven products
- Ensure solutions are accessible, intuitive, maintainable and aligned with strategic systems
Experience
- 8+ years experience with JavaScript, TypeScript and React
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles (OO, functional programming, SOLID, TDD)
- Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD and full SDLC exposure
- Cloud experience (Azure preferred)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
