Overview
As a Tier 2 Network Analyst, you will act as a key conduit between Customer Service, Planning, and Engineering teams, ensuring that insights from EV network performance data are translated into meaningful actions. You will autonomously monitor, analyse, and interpret network data to identify trends, detect anomalies, and support the resolution of complex issues in collaboration with Tier 3 Engineering.
This role is critical to maintaining high service standards across our EV infrastructure, enabling proactive issue resolution and data-driven decision-making that supports our strategic objectives.
The role
- Serve as the primary analytical link between Customer Service, Planning, and Engineering teams, translating operational issues into actionable insights.
- Continuously monitor EV network performance, identifying degradation, outages, or anomalies before they impact customers.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring or high-impact issues, escalating to Tier 3 Engineering with detailed evidence and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into network health, asset utilisation, and service performance.
- Collaborate with Planning to inform asset lifecycle decisions, including upgrades, replacements, and capacity planning.
- Support incident response by providing rapid data analysis and historical context to aid resolution.
- Maintain and enhance asset and network data quality, ensuring accuracy in registers and documentation.
- Stay current with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in EV infrastructure and network analytics.
You’ll bring
- Strong analytical skills with experience in network or infrastructure performance analysis, ideally within EV or utilities.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and translate customer-facing issues into technical investigations.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to communicate complex technical insights to non-technical teams.
- Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure, charge point management systems, and protocols such as OCPP and OCPI.
- Experience in incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
- Ability to, and an understanding of how to automate reporting and data workflows using scripting and APIs.
- Understanding of data pipelines, time-series analysis, and data quality assurance.
- Knowledge of GIS tools and spatial analysis is a plus.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science); certifications in cloud or data tools are advantageous.
- Experience in Python, SQL, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is desirable.
