An established and growing international logistics business is looking to appoint an experienced Technical Product & Platform Manager to take ownership of a business critical digital platform and drive its future development.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining product management, technology leadership and commercial thinking to deliver innovative solutions that improve operational performance and customer experience.

The Opportunity

Working across Technology, Operations and Commercial teams, you'll be responsible for shaping the product roadmap, leading software delivery and ensuring technology solutions support wider business objectives.

You'll manage both UK and offshore development resources while working closely with internal stakeholders and customers to continually enhance the platform through innovation, automation and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities Product Strategy

• Define and deliver the long term vision and roadmap for the company's core digital platform

• Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure product development aligns with business priorities

• Act as the key link between technical, commercial and operational teams

• Oversee product documentation, testing and quality assurance activities

• Drive continual platform enhancements based on customer feedback and business requirements

Software Delivery

• Lead the full software development lifecycle from planning through to release

• Manage both UK based and offshore development teams

• Prioritise development backlogs to maximise business value

• Create and refine user stories, technical requirements and acceptance criteria using Agile principles

• Monitor delivery performance and identify opportunities for continual improvement

Stakeholder Management

• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, risks and delivery

• Build strong relationships across operational, commercial and technical teams

• Support customer demonstrations, implementations and system integrations

• Deliver training and internal communications to maximise platform adoption

Data & Business Intelligence

• Develop and maintain Power BI reporting and dashboards

• Improve data quality, governance and reporting accuracy

• Work with operational and finance teams to define meaningful KPIs

• Implement controls that improve data integrity across multiple systems

Platform Governance & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve operational efficiency

• Maintain governance across development standards, documentation and release management

• Promote secure development practices and robust data protection standards

• Ensure platform stability, integration performance and effective incident management

• Support business continuity through strong documentation and knowledge sharing

Leadership

• Lead, mentor and develop members of the development team

• Encourage collaboration, innovation and accountability

• Introduce best practice development methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives

• Foster a positive, solution driven team culture

About You

You'll ideally have experience within a software product, digital platform or technology leadership role and enjoy working across both technical and commercial environments.

You'll also bring:

• Proven experience managing software delivery from concept through to implementation

• Experience leading distributed or offshore development teams

• Strong understanding of platform architecture, APIs and systems integration

• Previous ownership of product roadmaps and prioritisation

• Experience improving data quality and integrating multiple business systems

• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Experience producing business intelligence and reporting solutions

• Understanding of governance, cyber security and risk management principles

• Commercial awareness with a proactive, solutions focused approach
