CAM Systems Engineer Apprentice

Develop and maintain internal CAD and ERP systems, improving efficiency through enhanced functionality and increased automation across front-end business systems.

Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn the manufacturing Process for bare printed circuit boards
  • To learn the engineering software(UCAM and Nexus) and provide engineering support as required
  • Maintain and develop the ERP system and help improve efficiency and automation using Python and AI tools
  • Learn Java scripting and maintain and develop scripts to increase automation within the CAM engineering department
  • To understand health and safety responsibilities both as an individual and for the position appointed and work within the rules given in the Company H&S Policy Document

Training

Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team.

Using their expert knowledge, they will provide the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and to expand future career prospects.

Throughout the apprenticeship, learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme.

The role offers long-term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.
