Lead Enterprise Architect

As a Digital Lead Enterprise Architect, you will ensure design governance across our client’s digital estate. You will provide corporate governance and technical advice to digital programmes, projects, and services, ensuring alignment with strategy, policy, and design principles while considering customer requirements. You will influence and contribute to the digital strategy and direction, turning business problems into robust technical designs.

• Specify technical requirements to support project objectives.

• Input technical expertise into service requirements.

• Develop, validate, and review conceptual, logical, and physical architectural designs.

• Manage architectural aspects of target design, policies, and standards.

• Work proactively to achieve stable and viable designs.

• Assist with supplier selection where appropriate to fulfil requirements.

• Maintain and develop design principles, policies, and standards, authoring sub-strategy and related documentation.

• Interpret technical and business stakeholder needs to make decisions based on risk and complexity.

• Design systems with medium risk, impact, and technical/business complexity, working across multiple services or a single large/complex service.

• Hands-on experience as an Applications, Technical, Solution, or Enterprise Architect.

• Experience developing architectural strategy, policies, and processes.

• Experience in governance or assurance roles.

• Skilled in writing and reviewing technical design documentation.

• ISEB certification and one of the following: ITIL, IT4IT, or COBIT certification.

• Experience in a similar role in industry, public sector, or MOD.

• Experience working with a strategic outsource partner.

• Knowledge of secure computing requirements, policies, and best practices (e.g., JSP440, SPF, GPG) and their application in secure environments.
