Network Engineer (Kidderminster)
Are you a skilled Network Engineer ready to take ownership of high-impact infrastructure projects in a fast-paced, global environment?
My client is looking for a proactive and technically capable Network Engineer to join their world-class IT team. This role offers the chance to manage critical systems and be the go-to expert on core networking tools and protocols, including Cisco ISE, LAN/WAN, and ACI.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead as the primary ISE Administrator within the global network team
- Install, upgrade, and maintain data centre hardware, including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Monitor and troubleshoot a wide range of technologies: VPNs, Firewalls, Wireless Access Points, Application Centric Infrastructure, and more
- Support disaster recovery by developing and testing network failover plans
- Deliver exceptional technical and end-user support, responding to service tickets and calls efficiently
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including network diagrams and Best Practices
- Work closely with Tier 2/3 teams on escalations and drive service improvements across the board
- Help improve SLAs, response times, and first-contact resolution rates by building out effective processes and support structures
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience of Cisco Meraki Administration - From a Firewall / Switch / Access Point perspective
- Cisco ISE Administration experience is needed, at a level of 'Policy Management experience'
- Proven experience with Meraki Networking Hardware and Software including ACI, Firewalls, Routers, Switches and Wireless
- Experience developing documentation and managing escalations effectively
- A clear communicator with a solution-first mindset and excellent problem-solving skills
