Cyber Portfolio Senior Manager

Step into a high-impact leadership role as Senior Manager, Cyber Portfolio, where you’ll shape and drive the delivery of critical cyber initiatives that protect and enable the business.

Working in a flexible, hybrid environment, you’ll leverage your strong project management expertise and stakeholder management skills to lead complex programmes, ensuring alignment, transparency, and successful delivery. Collaborating with senior leaders across Information Security, Technology PMO, and the wider business, you’ll establish robust governance frameworks, oversee a dynamic portfolio, and make a tangible impact on GXO’s cyber strategy and resilience.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of between  £75,000 to £85,000 per annum, dependant on skills and experience, company car/car allowance and bonus scheme. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery and governance of the Information Security portfolio, ensuring successful execution of strategic cyber and transformation initiatives
  • Provide high levels of autonomy and strategic direction, aligning portfolio execution with senior leadership objectives and business priorities
  • Drive transparency and enable informed decision-making through high-quality reporting, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges
  • Continuously enhance portfolio effectiveness by evolving frameworks, governance models, and delivery practices while optimising tools and processes
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and lead high-performing teams, influencing across all levels and providing coaching, direction, and oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence decision-makers across Technology and business functions, and communicate complex topics as clear executive options
  • Extensive experience in project, programme, or portfolio management within Information Security or IT, including leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Solid understanding of cyber security risks, controls, and governance frameworks
  • Relevant academic background (Information Security, IT, Business, or equivalent experience)
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile, with flexibility for occasional travel to operational sites
