Warehouse Team Leader (Days)

Do you have experience supervising a small warehouse team to ensure daily tasks are completed safely and on time?  Do you have experience working within a food distribution environment and following HACCP or food safety procedures?  Are you IT literate and experienced using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to support warehouse activities and stock movements?

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 4 from 8 days, 06:00 to 18:00, for our Costa site based in Willand.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Daily management of a team of Warehouse operatives and agency staff on shift
  • Flexing resources and activity based upon analysis of real time information to ensure that the shift completes tasks on time and in excess of minimum key performance indicators and quality standards
  • Ensure full compliance in accordance with food handling procedures (HACCP) and BRC guidelines
  • Measure and review shift warehouse performance KPI’s, service targets and implement appropriate actions to seek continuous improvement

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Experience working in a multi-temperature food and drinks environment
  • Able to use initiative and organise your own workload
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems
  • Good knowledge and understanding of H&S procedures and standards in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team across shifts
