Working with a forward-thinking Bank seeking an experienced Enterprise/Solution Architect to lead critical architecture initiatives over a 3-6 month contract.

This part-time role (2 days per week) is perfect for someone who thrives in digital banking environments and is passionate about designing scalable, secure enterprise solutions. While the role is location agnostic, some travel to London will be required.

• Role Overview:

As a key architectural leader, you'll be responsible for driving the enterprise-wide architecture strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals. Your work will shape the future of core banking platforms, cloud strategies, and fintech integration.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver scalable, secure enterprise and solution architectures
• Develop architecture roadmaps and blueprints supporting digital transformation
• Evaluate and recommend cloud-based and on-premise technologies
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and security standards
• Engage senior stakeholders to align architecture with strategic business needs
• Provide architectural oversight and guidance on key projects
• Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in digital banking or financial services architecture
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong grasp of enterprise frameworks like TOGAF or ArchiMate
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Deep understanding of banking compliance (GDPR, PSD2, Basel III, etc.)
• Desirable:
• Experience in challenger banks or fintech environments
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Agile delivery frameworks
• Knowledge of core banking systems and modern digital platforms
