Mainframe Middleware Infrastructure Engineer (CICS Liberty)6-12 Month Contract | London or Edinburgh | Hybrid (2-3 Days Onsite) | Excellent Day RateWe're looking for an experienced Mainframe Middleware Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise across CICS, z/OS and IBM WebSphere Liberty to support a major enterprise transformation programme. This role focuses on the engineering, configuration, optimisation and support of modern Java workloads running within CICS Liberty environments.Key Skills & Experience:Deep knowledge of CICS systems engineering and z/OS infrastructureCICS region setup, configuration and JVM server managementIBM WebSphere Liberty administration and runtime configurationJava workload management, JVM tuning and performance optimisationRACF, TLS, certificates, keyrings and security integrationREST/API enablement and modern integration practicesProblem determination using dumps, traces, logs and SMF dataCapacity planning, resilience, HA/DR and operational supportExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments and release processesMonitoring, observability and middleware operational managementThis is an excellent opportunity to work on critical banking and financial services infrastructure whilst helping modernise core mainframe platforms with contemporary Java and API technologies.For more information and direct contact with me, please send me an email and call only if required.
