Data Engineer – London or Edinburgh (Hybrid)

We are looking for experienced Data Engineers to join a major banking transformation programme, building scalable cloud-based data platforms and pipelines that support critical business and analytics functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and consumption pipelines
• Develop ETL/ELT solutions using AWS-native services
• Implement batch and real-time data processing using Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Integrate data from multiple sources including Snowflake, S3, MongoDB, and DynamoDB
• Ensure data quality, security, scalability, and performance across platforms
• Contribute to DataOps practices, CI/CD automation, and platform optimisation

Required Skills:

• Strong experience delivering data engineering solutions on AWS
• Expertise in ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration
• Advanced Python and SQL skills; Spark experience desirable
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, S3, Kafka, and Snowflake
• Knowledge of DataOps, CI/CD, and distributed data systems
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments, ideally financial services
