Data Solution Architect – Contract | Coventry, UK (Hybrid)
6-month contract opportunity for an experienced Data Solution Architect to lead enterprise-scale cloud and data transformation initiatives across Azure, Databricks, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.
This role focuses on real-time analytics, AI/ML integration, IoT/SCADA telemetry systems, and secure large-scale data platforms within complex environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Architect scalable cloud-native data platforms
- Deliver secure real-time and batch data pipelines
- Drive governance, resilience, and performance optimisation
- Lead enterprise integrations across structured/unstructured data
- Collaborate with engineering, business, and security teams
Key Skills & Experience
- Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Fabric/OneLake
- ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL
- Kafka, Event Hub, IoT Hub, real-time streaming
- CI/CD, Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, GitHub
- Data Governance, MDM, Purview, Unity Catalog
- Security, IAM/RBAC, Zero Trust, GDPR compliance
- AI/ML integrations, Power BI, monitoring & observability
- Experience with large-scale data estates (1000TB+)
- Utilities, telemetry, SCADA, SAP or GIS experience desirable
Hybrid working – 3 days onsite in Coventry.
