Technical Solution Architect (Networks)

📍 Wokingham | Hybrid | 6-month contract | Strong day rate – Utilities

We’re looking for an experienced network architect with active SC clearance to support a major enterprise transformation programme. This role sits within a complex live environment where secure, scalable network architecture is critical.

Key experience required:

• Cisco Routing & Switching, MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF

• MPLS VPN design and configuration (L2/L3)

• LAN/WAN architecture and troubleshooting

• Fortinet Firewall knowledge

• IPSEC, GRE, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS protocols

• HLD / LLD production and technical documentation

• Network refresh and upgrade projects within live environments

• Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams

• Experience leading technical teams and working with offshore delivery

You’ll be responsible for solution architecture, technical governance, troubleshooting complex network issues, supporting design authority reviews, and delivering secure enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions.

Ideal background:

• 10+ years in Network Architecture / Infrastructure Design

• Strong Cisco enterprise environment experience

• Agile and transformation programme exposure

• Comfortable travelling at short notice when required
