Network Solutions Architect - Active SC

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Solution Architect (Networks) with active SC clearance to design, architect, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance network solutions across enterprise and government environments. The role involves working closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and clients to translate business requirements into robust technical network architectures

Your responsibilities

· Technical analysis at project feasibility stage including systems and technical input required for business cases and associated documentation

· Troubleshooting network architecture and making recommendations for system findings and enhancements

· Making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs

· Contribute to the development of IT roadmaps, reference architectures, patterns and standards to support industry best practice on a proactive basis for Intelligent Process Automation.

· Represent and explain the technical requirements and constraints of the project / programme to stakeholders and advice on any associated technical constraints, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies in a timely manner.

· Produce robust fit for purpose high level and detailed functional and technical system design covering Integration, Data, Infrastructure / Platform and Security to functional and non-functional requirements in an Agile and / or waterfall project / programme environments and following internal IT processes.

· Represent the project / programme designs to the IT Design Authority and demonstrate fitness for purpose and compliance to reference architectures, patterns and standards.

· Support pre-sales in terms of efforts and solution estimations driving commercial value

· Act as the lead technology consultant for the Intelligent Process Automation as well as assigned specific projects and programmes.

· Work with 3rd party vendors and suppliers to ensure solution compliance to reference architectures, patterns and standards and meeting information security policies.

· Assist in creation of solution assessment criteria for product selections.

· As appropriate assist / lead technical workshops and meetings with internal technical customers and stakeholders and external suppliers and vendors.

Key Skills/Knowledge:

· Proven track record as a Network Architect delivering appropriate Network and security designs integrating cross technology solutions covering a variety of technologies.

· Experience of Cisco Routing & Switching, MPLS, QOS, BGP & OSFP, Traffic Engineering

· Experience if Designing and configuration of MPLS, MPLS VPN- L2 and L3

· High quality designs encompassing full error handling, monitoring and logging.

· Good understanding of best practices for development of security standards compliant systems

· Ability to demonstrate delivery of pragmatic solutions that balance project / programme constraints against strategic direction and, as required, successfully reach agree compromise with stakeholders.

· Proven ability to identify practical solutions and improvements that benefit the organisation and express complex ideas in clear business language.

· Proven ability to think strategically, analyse data and information and develop and deliver appropriate, innovative and effective solutions.

· Experience in leading or supervising technical teams.

· Ability to work to strict deadlines in order to achieve objectives, and to drive others to do so also

· Excellent collaborator who is able to bring cross functional teams together to create the optimal outcome

· Adaptable to changing circumstances and environment, dealing with conflicting priorities for self and others

· Uses initiative to proactively address issues as they occur on a day to day basis

· Experience of working in in transformation projects using agile methodologies in a demanding corporate environment

· Experience in leading teams or developing more junior colleagues.

· Ability to work with offshore delivery teams.

· Troubleshooting skills for Cisco Environment in quick time

· Knowledge of Firewalls particularly Fortinet

· Perform network modelling, analysis, and planning.

· Installation of hardware as required

· Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.

· Upgrade network hardware and software components as required

· Cisco Routing and Switching environment LAN & WAN, MPLS

· Knowledge of network sniffer for capturing logs (Wireshark/ Ethereal/ Solar-wind or any other equivalent).

· projects in customer live environment. Experience with Network refresh/upgrade projects

· Should be able to create HLD & LLD documents and should be able to draw architecture as per customer needs

· Deep understanding of IPSEC, GRE, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS protocols

· Understanding of cybersecurity technologies, protocols and applications.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Visio is must.

· Network LAN/WAN knowledge and hands on experience
