Key responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and administer the Salesforce platform to support business processes, user needs, and customer journeys using declarative tools
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce configuration including objects, fields, flows, validation rules, page layouts, reports, dashboards, and permissions
  • Ensure the stability, performance, usability, and ongoing reliability of the Salesforce platform through proactive administration and continuous improvement
  • Manage users, roles, profiles, and permission sets to maintain appropriate security and data access controls
  • Maintain high standards of data quality through monitoring, validation, cleansing, and data governance processes
  • Support platforms change delivery by contributing to requirements refinement, testing, release activities, and post-release support
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to users, including issue triage, investigation, and resolution
  • Work closely with Salesforce Engineers, Product, and Operations teams to ensure configuration aligns with platform architecture and governance standards
  • Document configuration, processes, and user guidance to support platform sustainability and knowledge sharing
  • Take ownership of assigned work items, proactively manage risks, and contribute positively to team delivery.
  • Use AI tools responsibly to support triage, analysis, and productivity in line with enterprise governance and compliance standards.

Key Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce declarative configuration, including flows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and page layouts
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data models, object relationships, and data management best practices
  • Experience managing Salesforce security including users, roles, profiles, permission sets, and access controls · Working knowledge of Apex functionality, platform settings, error handling, and reporting (awareness level)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve configuration and data issues
  • Understanding of Salesforce governance, environment management, release management, and change control processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both business users and technical teams
  • Understanding of enterprise security, data protection, and compliance principles
  • Demonstrated safe and responsible use of AI tools, with awareness of accuracy, bias, governance, and compliance requirements

Experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience administering a Salesforce organisation at scale
  • Proven experience supporting a live Salesforce environment including daily administration, maintenance, and platform upgrades
  • Experience supporting platform releases, testing changes, and coordinating with delivery teams
  • Experience maintaining data quality and enforcing platform governance standards
  • Willingness to continuously learn new Salesforce features and improve platform effectiveness
