Specialised Engineer - HCL Commerce

London - Hybrid (2 days onsite) - 6 Month Contract

Excellent opportunity for an experienced HCL Commerce Engineer to join a major retail digital transformation programme. You’ll work on large-scale ecommerce platforms supporting high traffic, complex integrations, and mission-critical customer journeys.

Key experience required:

• Strong hands-on expertise with HCL Commerce / IBM WebSphere Commerce
• Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, REST & Graph APIs
• Azure-hosted commerce platforms
• CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Git & Docker
• Oracle database experience
• Monitoring & troubleshooting tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace or New Relic
• Experience resolving complex production issues, RCA analysis & platform optimisation
• Strong understanding of scalable, secure, high-availability systems

Desirable:

• Retail / ecommerce background
• MongoDB or NoSQL experience
• Agile delivery environments

This is a fast-paced engineering role with exposure to enterprise-scale commerce systems, cloud modernisation, and continuous platform enhancement initiatives.
