Test Automation Architect – BY WMS Transformation Program

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Architect to lead the testing strategy and execution for a Blue Yonder WMS Transformation Program. The role will be responsible for defining and governing end-to-end testing across functional, system, integration, and automation streams, ensuring quality across complex warehouse and supply chain processes. You will work closely with warehouse team, platform, and business teams to plan, coordinate, and deliver seamless transformation.

Your responsibilities:

• Define and implement enterprise-wide test automation strategy and roadmap
• Design scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing
• Lead automation for end-to-end testing across BY WMS and integrated systems
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
• Select and standardize automation tools, technologies, and best practices
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and DevOps teams to enable shift-left testing
• Ensure high test coverage and reusability of automation assets
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to automation engineers
• Oversee defect management, prioritization, and resolution tracking
• Drive test data management and environment strategy for automation
• Monitor and report automation metrics, ROI, and quality improvements.
• Drive Agile testing practices, automation, and continuous quality improvement.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Strong experience in test automation architecture and framework design
• Expertise in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured)
• Hands-on experience in API and integration testing automation
• Knowledge of BY WMS or similar enterprise WMS platforms
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Java, Typescript, Python, JavaScript)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of Agile/SAFe methodologies and DevOps practices
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and modern architectures
• Knowledge of test data management and environment setup
• Strong stakeholder and cross-team collaboration skills

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• Experience with Blue Yonder (BY) WMS implementations or upgrades in a retail environment
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and performance testing for WMS systems
• Familiarity with data migration and validation during legacy-to-modern platform transitions
• Understanding of cloud-based deployments (Azure/AWS) and DevOps practices in testing
