Inviting applications for the role of Manager , Java Developer within the Treasury Technology department in the Finance Technology space at our Investment Banking division and delivering high quality deliverables, and should be willing to learn new technologies.

Location: Glasgow, UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and enhancement of FRPPE systems ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability within the Treasury Technology domain.
• Collaborate with Treasury and Finance stakeholders, as well as cross-functional teams, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions in alignment with Treasury business goals.
• Integrate advanced tools and technologies including Java, Scala, Axiom, Python, and GenAI as an add-on to enhance capabilities.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, maintaining high standards of quality.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• 8-12 years of experience in software development within the investment banking or financial services industry, specifically in Treasury or related areas.
• Strong expertise in Java, full-stack development, and Spark Scala.
• Experience in Axiom is an addon preferred skills.
• Hands-on experience with Axiom for risk and finance calculations.
• Proficiency in Python programming for automation, data analysis, or system integration.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies and their application in financial systems is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of Treasury products, risk management, and pricing engines.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
