Junior UI Desginer
Our client who are a leading technology organisation in Kings Cross are looking for a Junior UI Designer to join a newly formed team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early UI design exposure and a strong foundation in JavaScript and HTML who is ready to take the next step in their career.The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of an innovative asynchronous messaging platform, working closely with business analysts, developers and product stakeholders.About the Role This position offers the chance to work on a greenfield project, contribute to the creation of a visual design system from the ground up, and collaborate within a highly skilled, cross-functional team. - Transform business and user requirements into clear UI sketches, wireframes, layouts and visual examples
- Maintain and evolve the platform’s visual design system
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure designs are accurately understood and implemented
- Participate in design reviews, requirement workshops and refinement sessions
- Use AI-assisted design tools (UI design agents) within the workflow
- Support communication and coordination between business analysts and engineering teams
- JavaScript and HTML (core requirements)
- Cloud technologies: Azure or AWS
- .NET (C# or F#)
- NoSQL
- AI-assisted design tools
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, UI/UX Design or a related STEM field
- Demonstrated early exposure to UI design through academic projects, internships or personal work
- Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and HTML
- High attention to detail with a clear visual design capability
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
