Technical Pricing Manager General Insurance | Personal Lines | Personal Lines Location: Hybrid – Peterborough office - 1 day per week (flexible)Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits Ready to drive real value through advanced pricing techniques? This is an opportunity for someone to step in to this Technical Pricing Manager role to deliver and develop high-performing retail pricing models and optimisations using innovative approaches. You'll be a key player in embedding data science into our pricing strategy and building models that directly impact commercial success. What You’ll Do:
- Deliver end-to-end pricing models using our tailored pricing pipeline
- Use Earnix or Radar to build predictive statistical models and optimise prices
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance pricing performance
- Lead and contribute to R&D efforts for innovative modelling approaches
- Integrate tools and outputs from data science teams
- Ensure compliance with pricing governance and controls
- Collaborate with Commercial Pricing to align models to business goals
- Mentor and support junior analysts and team members
- Degree (graduate or postgraduate) in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field
- Experience in a pricing or actuarial role in general insurance
- Hands-on experience with Earnix or Radar
- Proficient in Python or R for data analysis and modelling
- Experience applying advanced machine learning to pricing
- Strong communication skills to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences
- Proven commercial impact from pricing or R&D projects
- People leadership and mentoring experience
