Senior Account Manager: B2B PR and Communications

We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Senior Account Manager to join our award-winning team and help lead high-impact communications programmes for some of the most exciting brands in B2B and technology.

This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, enjoys leading integrated campaigns, is curious about tech innovation and current affairs, and knows how to turn smart ideas into meaningful results. You’ll play a central role across client accounts, driving media relations, shaping thought leadership strategies, building strong client relationships, and helping ambitious brands stand out in competitive markets.

You’ll be trusted to lead day-to-day account activity, spot opportunities before others do, and confidently guide both clients and teams through proactive, strategic communications programmes.

From thought leadership and executive profiling to major campaign launches, reactive commentary, and integrated brand storytelling, you’ll help deliver work that cuts through and makes an impact.

You’ll also work closely with a highly experienced senior leadership team within a collaborative and supportive agency culture.

About the Role

As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of integrated PR and communications programmes across a portfolio of B2B and technology clients.

You’ll oversee day-to-day account management, drive proactive media and thought leadership activity, contribute to strategic programme planning, and play an important role in client development and retention.

You’ll also support mentoring and team development, helping maintain the high standards and collaborative culture that define GingerMay.

This is a hybrid role based in London or Tunbridge Wells, combined with home working.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of client accounts, ensuring consistently high-quality delivery
  • Develop and drive proactive media relations strategies that secure impactful coverage and build profile for clients
  • Build strong relationships with journalists, editors, and industry contacts
  • Lead integrated campaign planning and execution across PR, content, social, and digital channels
  • Develop high-quality written content including press releases, thought leadership articles, comments, case studies, award entries, and executive profiling materials
  • Identify reactive commentary opportunities, newsjacking moments, and emerging industry conversations
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide clear, insight-led reporting and strategic recommendations
  • Identify opportunities to grow client accounts and expand programmes
  • Support new business activity including research, pitch development, credentials, and proposal support
  • Support junior team members, helping develop confidence, skills, and delivery standards where appropriate
  • Maintain strong organisation across account administration, reporting, financial management, and project delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong PR agency experience at Senior Account Manager level, or an experienced Account Manager ready to step up
  • Background in B2B and/or technology PR
  • Proven track record of developing media strategies and securing high-quality coverage
  • Strong client management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities
  • Commercial awareness with the confidence to identify growth opportunities
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities
  • A proven independent learner with a genuine curiosity for exploring and understanding new and cutting-edge industries - we’ll provide training, but you’ll be proactive in developing your knowledge and expertise
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong ownership and accountability
  • Genuine interest in media, current affairs, business, and technology
  • Collaborative, positive team player who enjoys working in a fast-moving agency environment
