Account Executive - Public Sector

Job Role Responsibilities

  • 70/30 split between new business development and existing account growth
  • Achieve or exceed agreed sales targets set with your manager
  • Proactively identify and develop sales opportunities while understanding customer requirements
  • Win new business supported by an internal public sector bid team
  • Grow and develop an existing account base
  • Work closely with pre-sales specialists to present the company's technology solutions and messaging to customers
  • Manage relationships across customers, vendors, and distribution partners (developing and maintaining your network)
  • Maintain ownership and accountability for your sales pipeline
  • Stay informed on the latest technology developments and discuss these with public sector clients

Job Requirements

  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organised, and hard working, with strong attention to detail. A positive attitude, energy, and willingness to support colleagues are essential.
  • Minimum of good GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, with A-Levels beneficial but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to take direction while also demonstrating initiative
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-driven mindset
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel beneficial but not essential
  • A collaborative team player with a "can-do" attitude
