Accounts Payable

We're working with an established IT business in Solihull that's recently secured a number of new client contracts. As a result, the volume of supplier invoices has increased sharply - and they're looking to bring in an Accounts Payable Clerk to help manage this growth.
This role is being offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis - the long-term plan is absolutely to bring the right person on permanently, but they need someone who can start quickly and get stuck in from day one.
What you'll be doing:
- Logging and coding supplier invoices in Sage 200
- Matching purchase orders and delivery notes to invoices
- Issuing invoices for approval and chasing anything missing
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries efficiently
- Carrying out supplier statement reconciliations
- Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts
- Supporting with supplier commission payments
- Helping with month-end tasks including sundry payments, credit cards and expenses
- Getting involved in ad hoc project work and admin tasks as needed
What they're looking for:
- Someone who's confident handling all aspects of the purchase ledger process
- A steady, reliable presence in the team - someone who knows what good Accounts Payable looks like
- Comfortable using Sage (ideally Sage 200) and experienced in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, IF statements)
- Organised, methodical, and used to managing deadlines and high volumes
- Someone who can take ownership, but still thrives in a collaborative environment
- Previous experience in an SME or IT/telecoms business would be helpful
