Interim Group Financial Controller

Global Accounting Network are partnering with a fast-growing technology company who are looking for an Interim Group Financial Controller to lead and manage the upcoming group audit process. This is a pivotal role within the finance function, requiring a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership and technical accounting skills. You will work closely with the CFO and external auditors to ensure the group audit is delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the group year-end audit process
  • Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, ensuring timely provision of information and responses to queries
  • Consolidate group financials, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts for group entities
  • Identify and resolve complex accounting and consolidation issues
  • Support internal stakeholders with audit-related requests and drive improvements in reporting processes
  • Provide leadership and support to the finance team during a critical period of delivery

Key Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), ideally with Big 4 or Top 10 training
  • Proven experience ideally within a fast-paced, multi-entity group
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP and group consolidations
  • Prior experience managing end-to-end external audit processes at group level
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Experience in the technology or SaaS sector
  • Previous interim/contracting experience in a similar capacity
  • Exposure to PE-backed or high-growth environments
