Lead Web Developer

🚨 We’re hiring a Lead Web Developer (WordPress) – Milton Keynes (Office-Based)

This is not a standard developer role.

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of website delivery inside a fast-growing agency and become the technical backbone of what we’re building.

At Global Exposure, we build high-performing websites for UK businesses. Sites that look great, load fast, and actually generate leads and revenue.

We’re growing quickly. Now we need someone strong to step in and own this part of the business.

💼 The Role

You will be responsible for building websites end to end.

Not just coding.

Not just design.

The full process.

That includes:

• Designing and building WordPress websites (primarily using Avada)

• Creating strong, conversion-focused layouts without relying on a designer

• Building landing pages for PPC campaigns

• Setting up forms, lead flows, and email notifications

• Handling DNS, domains, nameservers, and email configuration

• Managing hosting environments (Plesk experience ideal)

• Setting up SSL certificates and resolving HTTPS issues

• Improving site speed, performance, and security

• Fixing complex issues (API integrations, malware, etc)

You’ll work closely with our founder and account team, but day to day you’ll be trusted to run with things and get sites delivered properly.

• Junior developers

• People who need constant direction

• Pure designers

• Pure coders who don’t understand commercial websites

• Freelancers looking for flexibility or remote work

This is a full-time, office-based role in Milton Keynes

✅ What We’re Looking For

You’re someone who

• Has strong WordPress experience (agency background preferred)

• Is very confident using Avada

• Can design clean, modern, conversion-focused websites

• Understands how small business websites should actually perform

• Is technically solid (DNS, hosting, SSL, email, etc.)

• Works fast without sacrificing quality

• Takes pride in your work and notices the small details

• Can follow structured processes and SOPs

• Wants ownership and responsibility

Bonus if you have:

• PHP / MySQL knowledge

• Shopify experience

• Experience with Zapier or marketing integrations

• Experience with Plesk

💰 Salary

£38,000 – £50,000 depending on experience

With progression into a lead role as we grow
