Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS & GCP)

Initial 3-6 month contract, Rate - c. £500pd inside IR35, 2 days per week onsite in London

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to help shape and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure across a multi-cloud environment (AWS & Google Cloud).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery, and optimisation of cloud infrastructure and self-service tooling
• Maintain and enhance a mature multi-cloud platform across AWS and Google Cloud
• Drive automation and platform improvements to increase efficiency and reliability
• Provide architectural oversight and ensure alignment with security and cloud standards
• Support multidisciplinary teams with technical leadership, guidance, and best practice
• Contribute to governance, policy development, and cyber security standards
• Promote sustainable, inclusive, and transparent engineering practices
• Mentor junior engineers and support the growth and development of the Cloud Engineering team

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in cloud engineering and enterprise-scale infrastructure
• Proven expertise with AWS and/or Google Cloud platforms
• Passion for automation, DevOps, and platform engineering
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Strong understanding of security, governance, and cloud best practices
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical teams
• Public sector experience is preferred
