12 month contract, £500-£550pd, outside IR35, Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite in Bath)
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead testing activities across a major Unit4 ERP implementation programme. This role will oversee end-to-end testing, ensuring system functionality, integrations, and data are fully validated ahead of go-live.
You will work closely with functional teams, internal stakeholders, and the implementation partner to coordinate structured testing cycles across a complex, multi-workstream environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage the overall ERP testing strategy and approach
- Plan and coordinate Integrated System Testing (IST) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Lead testing activities across multiple functional workstreams (Finance, Procurement, Sales, Projects, etc.)
- Coordinate end-to-end testing across system integrations
- Establish and manage defect tracking, triage, and resolution processes
- Monitor testing progress, including execution status, defect volumes, and risks
- Ensure clear documentation, reporting, and communication of testing outcomes
- Collaborate with internal teams and implementation partner to resolve issues
- Oversee integration testing and ensure end-to-end business process validation
- Implement and manage test governance and tooling (e.g. Azure DevOps)
Requirements
- Proven experience with Unit4 ERP (essential)
- Strong background in ERP or large-scale enterprise system testing
- Experience managing testing across multiple functional workstreams
- Demonstrated experience in defect management and resolution processes
- Experience coordinating with third-party implementation partners
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to define and implement structured testing governance
