The role…

As Management Accountant, you will play a key role within the Healthcare Finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Healthcare Finance. You will business partner with budget holders across GlobalData’s central functions — finance, IT, HR, facilities, and corporate — and prepare the management accounts for these areas, alongside balance sheet responsibilities and commercial support to the wider Healthcare division.

This is a broad and varied role with genuine scope to shape how the central functions are supported by finance. Alongside the core business partnering and accounting responsibilities, you will pick up ad hoc projects and other duties as the business requires, making this a good opportunity to build a well-rounded, commercially minded finance career within GlobalData.

What you’ll be doing…

Business Partnering

  • Act as the finance business partner for budget holders across GlobalData’s central functions, including finance, IT, HR, facilities, and corporate.
  • Provide clear, timely financial information and insight to support decision-making across these areas.

Management Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare the monthly management accounts for the central function cost centers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process for the central cost functions.
  • Investigate and explain variances against budget and forecast, working with budget holders to understand the drivers.

Balance Sheet

  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for relevant accounts, ensuring they are accurate and fully supported.
  • Maintain robust controls and documentation across all processes, ensuring audit-readiness at all times.
  • Resolve reconciling items promptly, escalating issues where required.

Commercial Support

  • Provide commercial and financial analysis to support decision-making within the Healthcare division.

Other Duties

  • Support the Head of Healthcare Finance and wider finance team with ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
  • Undertake any other duties consistent with the role, as directed by the business.

What we’re looking for…

  • A hands-on and accountable finance professional — someone who takes ownership of their areas, works with accuracy and pace, and delivers to a high standard without needing close oversight.
  • A process improvement driver — someone who is naturally critical of inefficiency, actively seeks out bottlenecks and manual pain points, and has the energy and initiative to design and execute a structured improvement roadmap. Technically forward-thinking — someone with genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and automation, comfortable championing new technologies and guiding colleagues through the change that comes with adopting them.
  • A technically strong finance professional — qualified or part qualified Accountant, with experience across a broad range of financial operations.
  • A credible and collaborative stakeholder — someone confident enough to business partner with budget holders across the central functions, contribute at management team level, and engage with the wider finance team on monthly reporting and ad hoc initiatives, without losing sight of the day-to-day operational detail.

In addition to a rewarding career, we support our GlobalData colleagues with a range of benefits across health, finances, fitness, travel, tech and more. To find out more about the roles and benefits on offer in your region, visit (url removed)
