Senior Frontend Developer
Frontend Engineer (TypeScript / React / Python)
Fintech | London (Remote/Hybrid) | No C2C | Full-time role
Compensation: £80,000–£120,000 (flexible for exceptional talent)
We are working with a well-funded fintech platform transforming how complex financial data flows across global markets. This is an early engineering hire with direct report line to the CTO in London, providing the opportunity to shape the architecture and set engineering standards from the start.
The Impact
● Own how users interact with complex financial datasets, translating dense workflows into intuitive, high-performance web applications.
● Establish the foundational component library and design standards that define the product experience.
● Bridge frontend and backend to ensure APIs and data schemas are designed with the end-user experience in mind.
The Role
This is a frontend-first engineering role for someone who cares deeply about UI quality, design systems, and developer experience. You will lead development of dashboards, submission workflows, and internal tooling. The culture is deliberately no-bottleneck. While 80–90% of your time will be in React, you’re comfortable stepping into a Python (FastAPI) backend to extend an endpoint or adjust a data contract when needed.
What You’ll Do
● Build responsive, production-grade interfaces using TypeScript, React, Vite, and Tailwind CSS.
● Design and maintain a robust component library using shadcn/ui and Storybook.
● Extend backend APIs and refine request/response schemas in Python (FastAPI) when required.
● Translate complex product requirements into clean, accessible, high-performance user journeys.
● Contribute to architecture discussions and advocate for strong frontend standards.
What They’re Looking For
Must-Haves
● Deep expertise in TypeScript and React, with experience building complex, state-heavy web applications.
● Strong CSS fundamentals and proficiency with Tailwind CSS.
● Experience building and scaling reusable component libraries within established design systems.
● Comfortable operating across the stack when needed.
● High engineering standards and a commitment to clean, maintainable code.
Nice-to-Haves
● Experience with Vite-based setups and shadcn/ui.
● Exposure to Python (FastAPI) or similar backend frameworks.
● Experience building data-heavy dashboards.
● Familiarity with fintech or regulated environments.
If you’re a frontend engineer who wants real ownership, design influence, and exposure to complex financial systems, this is a strong opportunity to shape a product from the ground up.
