IT Operations - Finance/Administrator

Job summary

This role is offered on a fixed term/secondment basis for 12 months to cover a secondment. The hours are full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

The IT Operations Team in the trust leads on IT strategy, development, co-ordination, planning, project, and programme management for all IT & supporting functions. The team also support contract management, IT estate equipment, system deployments and IT services for the Trust.

The role of IT Operations Administrator is to support the Deputy Head of IT Operations and the wider IT operations teams in its day-to-day operations including providing administrative support to help ensure an effective service is provided.The IT Operations service provides a customer facing service to resolve customers' day to day technology queries, resolve issues and manage incidents, problems and service requests through to resolution.The post holder will be part of the core hub that will manage real time communications with customers on the current status of IT and Clinical Systems and Operations, liaising directly with any other team as required.

Main duties of the job

  • Arrange, plan and take comprehensive minutes at departmental meetings, to circulate meeting minutes.
  • Organising and checking user appointments through the ITSM (IT Service Management) tool.
  • Supporting the IT Operations team to provide efficient support to the trust's service users, ensuring requests and incidents are updated throughout the ticket lifecycle within the ITSM tool.
  • IT Equipment deliveries to any of GHC sites
  • Communicating and / or requesting IT technical information in a manner that can be understood by non-technical or unskilled users.
  • To manage the Clinical Induction Process, ensuring all clinical staff receive the required IT equipment and peripherals required to enable them to complete their job role within the Trust
  • Completion of Clinical Systems access requests.
  • Generate and provide ad-hoc reports from various IT systems to management
  • Engaging with third party suppliers via various communication methods to respond to queries and follow up outstanding requests
  • To support the raising and processing of orders and invoices (Computer Software licenses and IT Equipment) and ensuring data is stored accurately.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • A Level 3 Business admin NVQ or equivalent
  • Good general level of education particularly in English and Mathematics

Experience

Essential
  • Experience in a similar role, together with relevant experience in IT support, project tools and environments.
  • Experience of raising IT orders and analysing the data
Desirable
  • Experience of working within the NHS
  • Experience with NHS Clinical Systems
