Financial Controller

With strong recurring revenue, a growing international customer base, and ambitious plans for scale, they’re now looking for a commercially sharp Financial Controller to lead the finance function through its next stage of growth.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will support the Chief Financial Officer through production of monthly management accounts and financial analysis within a robust framework of controls and processes.
This is not your average Financial Controller role. You’ll be joining a high-growth business where finance plays a strategic role in decision-making. As the business scales, you’ll have the opportunity to shape systems, processes, and people while working closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities (But not limited to):
- Lead monthly and annual financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Own and improve financial processes including billing, payroll, and reconciliations
- Monitor SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, churn) and provide strategic insight
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (VAT, audit, corporation tax, etc.)
- Work with the leadership team to model growth, support fundraising and investor reporting
- Evaluate and implement finance systems and tools (e.g., Xero, Stripe, Chargebee)
- Build and lead a small finance team (Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger)
- Ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained including a structured and adhered to Purchase Order system.
- Ensure correct Corporate Structure and Banking Structure are in place to support current and future business.
- Preparation of annual R&D Credits and application for relevant grants
- Work with auditors at year end and ad hoc as required.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Previous experience in a SaaS or tech-led environment is desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Confident with financial modelling and presenting data to non-finance teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, and ambitious setting.
