About the Role
We're looking for Data & Trends Researchers (mid-senior level) to lead high-impact research into emerging technology ecosystems, with a particular focus on AI infrastructure, supply chains, and real-world signals of technological progress.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working at the intersection of data analysis, forecasting, and investigative research, particularly using unconventional or complex datasets (e.g. satellite imagery, supply chain data, or survey data).
You will help define research direction, build novel datasets, and produce high-quality insights that inform decision-making on rapidly evolving technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research across areas such as:
- AI infrastructure and datacenters
- Global technology supply chains
- Satellite and geospatial data
- Public and expert polling / surveys
- Market and company performance trends
- Analyse complex and incomplete datasets to generate clear, defensible insights
- Build, clean, and maintain structured datasets to support ongoing research
- Produce written outputs including reports, briefings, and analysis articles
- Contribute to defining new research questions and identifying emerging trends
- Apply quantitative reasoning to estimate uncertain or hard-to-measure phenomena
What We're Looking For
Core Requirements
- Strong analytical and quantitative research skills
- Experience working with real-world datasets with uncertainty or incomplete information
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques (e.g. regression, statistical inference, bootstrapping)
- Ability to communicate complex insights clearly in writing
- Comfortable forming defensible conclusions from imperfect data
Highly Relevant Experience (one or more)
- Geospatial / satellite imagery analysis
- Supply chain tracking or logistics intelligence
- Polling, survey design, or public opinion analysis
- AI infrastructure, semiconductors, or hardware ecosystems
- Forecasting and trend analysis in emerging technologies
- Economic or market research (e.g. sell-side, macro, sector analysis)
Nice to Have
- Experience working with large-scale or novel datasets
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning trends, or technical ecosystems
- Coding skills (Python, R, or similar)
- Experience producing publishable research or insight reports
