  • Manage technical activities from initial concept through to implementation and operational support.
  • Ensure engineering activities meet required quality, safety and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with internal engineering, operations and technical teams to ensure systems remain available and fit for purpose.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to less experienced engineers and technicians.

What we are looking for:

  • Significant electronics engineering experience within defence, maritime, industrial, telecommunications or a similar environment.
  • Previous experience supervising engineers, technicians or technical teams.
  • Experience managing technical work programmes and engineering activities.
  • Strong hands-on experience with electronic test equipment and fault finding.
  • Experience of system integration, testing and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of networked electronic systems and industrial control systems.
  • Strong technical documentation and report-writing skills.
  • The ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems in an operational environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A structured approach to engineering, safety, quality and compliance.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to take a technical leadership position within a highly specialist maritime defence environment, working with complex instrumentation and electronic systems that support real-world trials and operational activities.

You will have the opportunity to combine hands-on electronics engineering with team leadership, making a direct contribution to the reliability, development and capability of critical maritime range systems.
