AI Solutions Programme Lead
Contract: 2-year fixed term (with review at 12 months)
Location: North West, hybrid (3–4 days per week on site)
My client is delivering a major digital transformation programme and is seeking an experienced Programme Lead to take ownership of AI adoption across clinical and operational areas. This is a chance to work on multiple projects that will directly improve service delivery, workforce efficiency, and patient outcomes.
This role goes beyond strategy. The organisation is looking for someone who can design and deliver pilots, validate impact, and scale solutions — ensuring every project achieves measurable benefits and builds confidence in AI-enabled ways of working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading multiple AI-enabled projects from pilot to full adoption
- Driving measurable benefits such as efficiency, workforce enablement, and improved decision-making
- Establishing programme governance and supporting the PMO to build delivery capability
- Partnering with directors, senior leaders, and technology providers to embed solutions effectively
- Engaging clinical and operational teams in change and adoption
- Mentoring junior project managers and supporting skills development across the function
- Ensuring all projects are delivered with strong governance and compliance standards
We’re looking for someone with:
- A proven record of delivering digital or technology-enabled transformation, ideally with evidence of successful pilots or rollouts
- Strong programme and project management skills (Agile, PRINCE2, MSP)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence at board and senior leadership level
- Familiarity with integration platforms, digital tools, or AI-driven solutions
- Knowledge of governance, data protection, and risk management
- A delivery-focused, collaborative approach that builds structures and brings people with you
Desirable:
- Background in healthcare, NHS or wider public sector transformation
- Experience in building or contributing to a PMO function
- Understanding of digital policy, compliance frameworks, and interoperability
This is a rare opportunity to lead a flagship transformation programme where AI is applied to solve real challenges — from improving operational efficiency to freeing up clinical time. You’ll be joining a forward-thinking team with the ambition to deliver tangible outcomes in the first year and set the standard for responsible adoption in the sector.
If you’re ready to take ownership of this programme and deliver meaningful results, please get in touch for a confidential conversation.
