A well-established, technology-led organisation is seeking an interim Senior Commercial Finance / Strategy Manager to join their team. This is a senior leadership role with strong visibility, partnering directly with executive leadership to shape company strategy, optimise investment decisions, and drive long-term profitability.
The role
- Lead, build, and scale a large finance & strategy team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Drive strategic decision-making and capital allocation across the business
- Own and improve financial planning, forecasting, and reporting frameworks
- Build and maintain complex financial models and business cases used across the organisation
- Track and analyse key business KPIs to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Partner with senior leaders across functions to influence strategy and drive execution
- Lead high-impact initiatives and special projects that support growth and operational efficiency
The ideal candidate
- 8+ years’ experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking
- Proven track record leading large, high-performing teams in a fast-growing company
- Strong experience owning budgets and forecasts for major organisational functions
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide strategic decisions
- Exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills (advanced Excel/Google Sheets)
- Comfortable working with large datasets and basic SQL proficiency (or willingness to learn)
- Passionate about developing talent and setting a gold standard for finance excellence
