Partnerships Executive - Government Tech Events
Business Development Executive - Government Tech Events
Hybrid (central London co-working 1 day/week initially) | Base + uncapped commission | Entry-level / early career
Our award-winning team is growing, and we’re looking for a high-potential, early-career salesperson to help drive revenue across our portfolio of government-focused B2B events and media products.
This is not a “sit back and learn slowly” role. It’s a chance to build serious commercial skills quickly, working directly with senior decision-makers from leading tech firms and the UK public sector.
If you’re bright, energetic, and motivated to prove yourself, we’ll give you the platform, training, and responsibility to do it.
About us
We run high-level summits, private dinners, webinars, and research programmes for senior civil servants shaping the future of digital government.
- Our flagship event achieved a +71 Net Promoter Score
- We work with global technology firms and consultancies
- We operate a high-trust, high-performance sales environment in a small team
The role
You’ll be responsible for generating new business conversations and converting them into revenue.
From day one, you’ll be:
- Prospecting and opening conversations with senior stakeholders
- Booking and supporting commercial meetings
- Learning how to position and sell high-value sponsorship and media solutions
- Building your own pipeline and contributing to team revenue targets
You’ll be supported with:
- Clear messaging and proven sales plays
- HubSpot CRM, marketing campaigns, and inbound leads
- Direct coaching from experienced sales leaders
But success in this role comes down to your energy, work rate, and willingness to learn fast.
What we’re looking for
We are not looking for extensive experience. We are looking for raw potential and attitude.
- Highly-driven and competitive: you want to win and improve
- Strong communicator: clear, confident, and able to build rapport quickly
- Coachability: you take feedback well and apply it immediately
- Curiosity: you ask good questions and want to understand how things work
- Resilience: you can handle rejection and keep going
- High standards: you take pride in doing things properly
You might be:
- A graduate or early in your career
- From a sales, recruitment, events, or customer-facing background
- Looking for a role where performance directly drives your earnings and progression
What you’ll get
- Fast development with real responsibility from the outset
- Clear progression path into senior sales roles
- Uncapped commission – strong performers can scale earnings quickly
Hands-on coaching in modern B2B sales (including AI-supported workflows)
- A small, ambitious team where your contribution is visible
Who this is for (and not for)
This is for you if:
- You want to build a career in sales and are willing to work hard to do it
- You’re comfortable picking up the phone and speaking to senior people
- You want merit-based progression, not time-based
This is not for you if:
- You’re looking for a low-pressure or purely account management role
- You need heavy structure or constant supervision
- You’re not motivated by targets and commercial outcomes
