Service Desk Engineer

Duties for the role of Service Desk Engineer in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire include:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for a wide range of IT issues, including hardware, software, networking, and cloud-based services
• Respond to support tickets via phone, email, and ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service
• Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and user accounts
• Maintain and update system documentation and internal knowledge base
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, patch management, and general IT administration
• Work closely with senior engineers on escalated tickets and small projects

What You’ll Need:

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in a service desk, IT support, or technical support role
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, basic networking, and Active Directory
• Experience using a ticketing/helpdesk system
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
• A customer-first mindset and willingness to learn and adapt
• Desirable: CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, ITIL Foundation, or experience in an MSP environment
