We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. In this role, you'll support either our Health & Disability or Children & Families functions.

• Business application architecture design, modelling techniques, patterns, tools, and standards.
• Public cloud technologies, especially AWS, including design patterns, containers, tools, and best practices.
• CICD delivery methodologies and best practices.
• Database design and modelling, including Relational, NoSQL, and Open-Source technologies.
• Experience in designing Microservice, event-driven, and API-led architectures, guiding best practices.

We seek skilled architects confident working on products and services in complex digital environments. As a Senior Solution Architect, you will design, implement, and oversee IT solutions that enhance services for millions of DWP users.

You will deliver technical and architectural designs for either the Health & Disability or Children & Families teams, working collaboratively with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to create efficient, user-centric solutions.

You will ensure solutions adhere to DWP's Digital Blueprint, Enterprise Architecture, and Product Roadmaps, and will identify and share architecture patterns.

As a leader and communicator, you will influence decisions and simplify complex concepts for governance, senior leaders, and your team.

Locations include Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, or Sheffield, with a hybrid working model.

Salary: Up to £70,000

Pension: Civil service pension with 28.97% employer contributions (~£16,000/year)

Holidays: Starting at 26 days, increasing to 31 days, plus up to 3 additional flexi days per month and public holidays.
