Data Engineer role available for someone who can bridge the gap between complex code and business strategy. We are partnering with a Lancashire-based Social Housing provider on a major 5-year, Microsoft-led technology transformation. At the heart of this journey is MS Fabric, and we need an architect to build the "pipes and bridges" that connect their entire operation.
Role: Data Engineer
Location: Lancashire - hybrid
Salary: £45,000-£55,000

Key technical skills & experience:
- Core Tech: Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI
- Modern Platforms: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components
- Legacy Migration: Proven track record of migrating from on-prem (SSIS) to cloud-based ETL/ELT pipelines
- Quality & Compliance: Experience implementing robust error handling and ensuring GDPR compliance
Beyond the core technical capabilities, this individual will work with the rest of the Data function to liaise with the business. They'll meet with key stakeholders across the organisation to help understand their needs. This person will build solutions that will have a huge impact on how the housing provider conducts its business.
