Head of Cloud Infrastructure (Azure) - Reading

Working pattern: Hybrid (typically 3 days onsite per week) We’re partnering with an organisation undertaking a significant digital transformation, now looking to appoint a Head of Cloud Infrastructure to lead a critical phase of that journey. This is a senior, high-impact role with ownership across platforms, infrastructure, and security, alongside responsibility for leading a growing team. The business is investing heavily in modernisation and needs someone who can bring structure to a complex environment, define a clear Azure-led strategy, and drive delivery through its next phase of evolution. The focus will be on creating a more cohesive, scalable, and secure environment - improving resilience, governance, and long-term sustainability. You’ll assess the current estate, define a clear target architecture, and lead the transition to a more standardised, Azure-driven platform. Alongside this, you’ll manage a small internal team and work closely with senior stakeholders to shape roadmap, priorities, and investment decisions. Core requirements Strong cyber security knowledge Proven Azure experience within live/production environments Ability to design and define a well-structured, scalable cloud environment Broad technical understanding across cloud services, networking, connectivity, compute, storage, backup, and security tooling Experience assessing current-state environments and delivering transformation strategiesTeam leadership / line management experience Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Exposure to Power Platform or other low-code solutions Knowledge of platform engineering principles and approaches Experience working with both internal teams and managed service providers Background in complex, operationally critical environments If this sounds like a strong fit, apply today and we’ll be in touch to discuss the opportunity in more detail. #J-18808-Ljbffr
